The Original Great Maze

This remains both one of the largest and longest running mazes in the UK, covering a massive 10 acres and using over half a million maize seeds and provides a fun day out for the family, or a competitive challenge for the experienced maze enthusiast. Miles of pathways are cut out of the maize crop forming the design, but only one way will get you out!

New for this year will be the interactive scarecrow competition, carefully designed to help children with their school curriculum on farming. Adventurers are invited to hunt down the scarecrows hiding around the maze, throughout the many twists and turns and answer their questions with a chance to win £100, with all correct answer sheets going into a prize draw at the end of the season.

A lost souls escape map is available for a returnable deposit if unopened and a viewing platform is found at the end of the giant puzzle, with the new ‘Victory Bell’ to ring upon completion of the journey to announce that you have conquered the maze. Climb the tower and use the viewers to spot friends still lost in the green labyrinth.

In addition to the maze, visitors can enjoy a game of Minigolf on the recently refurbished 9 hole course, visit the play area and of course browse the selection of shops around the centre. There is a restaurant on site or you can bring a picnic to enjoy in the picnic area, with ice-creams and cold drinks available at the maze hut.
