On the 26th August Natasha Raskin, from BBC Road Trip, will be visiting The Warehouse Antiques & Collectables in Setchey… a real Norfolk Treasure chest!

The programme involves antiques experts setting off on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction. The aim of the game is to turn an initial £200 budget into a small fortune. The experts have uncovered incredible antiques on their Road Trips and made some unbelievable profits at auction. The highest ever Antiques Road Trip profit was a rare antique camera, bought for just £60 by Antique’s Road Trip’s Paul Laidlaw and sold for an extraordinary £20,000, smashing all records.

Paul made the incredible find while shopping for curios and collectables in Margate, Kent. He inspected a boxed optical instrument closely, which led him to believe it was a primitive sub-miniature camera. Photographic experts confirmed Paul’s 19th century find was one of Auguste Bertsch’s extremely rare Chambre Automatique cameras – essentially a camera combined with microscope. Paul’s profit of £19,940 may take some beating, but his discovery goes to prove that those objects are still there to be found. Who knows, maybe such a find is waiting to be discovered at The Warehouse Antiques & Collectables at Setchey! All profits from the series go to Children in Need.
Derek Clark, Director at The Warehouse Antiques, says “We are all very excited to have Natasha and her crew dropping into to see us in August and I think she will be suitably impressed with our set up here of 15,000 square feet of antique heaven with over 100 dealers units to choose from. I think she will definitely find a unusual antique or even two for the show!”

The Warehouse Antiques & Collectables opened in 2017 when the warehouse adjacent to Beers of Europe Ltd became empty and Derek decided to follow his heart and set up his own quality antiques and collectables centre. The centre is ideally located just outside King’s Lynn along the busy A10. The newly converted showroom boasts 15,000 square feet of modern floor space, air conditioning and is all on the ground level offering easy access for disabled customers as well as making loading and unloading a breeze. There are a range of trolleys readily available and with a forklift on-site, bulky items can be handled with ease. There is ample free parking, excellent disabled access, we are dog friendly, provide customer toilets and provide a full alarm and CCTV system. The site is fully staffed 7 days a week and is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday/Bank Holidays 10am to 4pm.
