Event Description

On 16 June 2019, the meadows of Runnymede will set the stage for The People’s Pageant, by artist Estella Castle. This FREE Father’s Day event will be recreating the original 1934 Runnymede pageant, staging scenes from throughout history.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic to the meadows of Runnymede to witness this extraordinary community performance, performed by local volunteers.

Composer Alexander Ling is composing a soundtrack for the performance, using sounds recorded on site in the meadows and at the Ankerwycke Yew to create a unique backdrop for the piece.

The performance starts at 1pm and so we recommend that you arrive from 12pm onwards.
