Event Description

Course suits: Those who have gained some experience in drawing from still life and now wish to move to painting.

Objectives: To explore and develop the fundamentals of drawing and painting.

Level: Some experience with drawing.

Materials needed: All materials included.

Course description:

• While you may have gained important experience of drawing from a plaster cast, figure or portrait model it is equally important to have an opportunity to focus on paint handling, tonal values and colour-mixing
• Still life painting is a very effective way to explore and develop the fundamentals of drawing and painting.
• In this workshop we explore the composition and relationship of objects, colour and proportion.
