Pret A Manger will be serving up complimentary iced drinks from its new Shakers and Cooler range, to help busy Londoners cool off and relax in one of the city’s liveliest spots, Carnaby Street. The Pret Cooler Cart will be popping up outside of Pret’s Carnaby Street store between 1pm and 3:30pm this Thursday (13th), providing an exclusive shaded oasis decked out with baby blue chairs and parasols, so Pret customers can sit back and enjoy the tasty refreshments, no matter the forecast.

Pret hosts will hand out the new indulgent Shakers, designed to keep Brits cool all summer. The new lineup to the summer drinks menu, all available through Club Pret, includes the Classic Chocolate Pret Shaker with a Pret twist, made with Pret’s organic cocoa and served over ice; the Caramel Blondie Pret Shaker – a moreish rich white chocolate shake with caramel notes served over ice for a refreshingly creamy experience, and the Ruby Chocolate Pret Shaker – a fruitier option featuring Pret’s smooth organic cocoa with hints of berries, providing a decadent yet cool Summer treat.

The Cooler Cart arrives at Carnaby Street as Pret A Manger reveals the go-to ways the nation cools off in a heatwave, with three-quarters (73 per cent) of Brits guzzling iced drinks to cool off. Two-thirds (62 per cent) admitted to trialling out new weird and wonderful ways and techniques to combat the heat this summer and a half (53 per cent) reach for ice cream in a bid to keep cool.

On top of this, a tenth of Brits (nine per cent) have been putting themselves through a sport-style “ice bath” in their own dustbins to avoid the heat. Perhaps a little more surprising, four per cent have devoured the spiciest food imaginable thinking it might just knock off a few Celsius.
