Event Description

An introduction to the formal elements of art and generative process with the artist Russell Terry. This is a highly active drawing day with exercises and reflection on the so-called ‘formal elements of art’ – line, shape, form, tone, colour, pattern, texture. Students will explore these elements from three overlapping approaches: fast studies of historical and modern masters, learning fundamental observational drawing tips and employing generative/systems-based production.
