Event Description

On Friday December 13th, Custard Comedy is delighted to welcome Carey Marx to Comberton Sports and Arts. Doors are at 7.45pm and the fun starts around 8.15pm.

Carey Marx is writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s Intensive Carey, twice winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, and Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominee.

Marx concocts his own blend of dark humour with mischief and glee. His wilful disregard for the controversial and taboo is tempered with his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.

Carey is no stranger to screen or radio with credits ranging from Channel 4’s Gas to BBC One’s The Stand Up Show as well as his own radio show, Intensive Carey (BBC Radio 4) adapted from his wildly successful 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show of the same title in 2015.“Anecdotally debauched” Herald ★★★★★

Paul Savage started performing comedy in 2007. Since then he has performed all over Britain, from the highlands of Scotland to the bottom tip of Cornwall. “Genuinely brilliant. writes a good joke: an all round hoot” The Guardian.

Good Kids. Kieran Ahern and Tom Dowling met in the playground at the age of 4. They have been taking the Midlands and wider UK comedy scene by storm for the last year. Kieran is the curvaceous one and Tom is the other one. “Within seconds, they had the audience whooping and clapping along with their comedy tunes.” What’s On Magazine.

A gifted performer, MC Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. “Very funny, very quick… On the spot humour.” BBC.
