Event Description

The University of Bedfordshire’s ever-popular Beds Talks series returns for its final edition of the 2021-22 academic year. Join the Faculty of Education, English and Sport’s three research institutes – Centre for Research in English Language Learning and Assessment (CRELLA), Institute for Research in Education (IRED) and Institute for Sport and Physical Activity Research (ISPAR) – as they delve into how research carried out at the University is influencing policy, practice and lives across the globe.

Education, languages and physical activity all have the potential to transform people’s lives for the better. This engaging in-person event will share the transformative impact the Faculty is having on the life chances of the people we work with and give the audience a deeper understanding of how ground-breaking research is conducted and implemented.

Attendees will have the chance to meet the researchers and see some of the tools we use in our research, explaining the diverse ways in which our research positively impacts, nationally and globally, on English assessment, educational practice, student attainment and people’s health and well-being.

Refreshments will also be provided at the event, as well as an opportunity for conversation and networking both before and after the presentations.
