Woburn Safari Park – The Wild is Closer than you Think

Woburn Safari Park is home to some of world’s most endangered wild animals. Visitors can drive through the Road Safari reserves to see a variety of exotic species, and then continue a journey of discovery in the Foot Safari, with a program of keeper talks and demonstrations.

Travel across the African Savannah – home to rhino, wildebeest, antelope, giraffe and African cattle, all in beautiful Bedfordshire parkland. See a pride of lions up close in Kingdom of the Carnivores; meet four magnificent Amur tigers, including youngsters Mishka and Milashki, and drive through the African Forest and say hello to troops of monkeys!

Explore new walk-through enclosures in the Foot Safari; including Himalayan Heights with red pandas, Chelonia Pathways with giant tortoises, and Capybara Caves with new arrival James the capybara, before you make some new Farmyard Friends!  Meet the friendly sheep and donkeys, and watch the goats climb ‘Mount Billymanjaro’ as you walk with the animals.

The mini mammals cannot wait to meet you either!  Spot the Aldabra tortoises in their home at Chelonia Pathways, or visit the meerkats in Desert Springs, along with a neighbouring porcupine and a family of mongooses.  Take a wander through the woodland of the Land of Lemurs to meet four species of adorable lemurs, and then take a stroll past the penguin colony, to watch the Humboldt penguins as they swim, dive and splash about in their pool.

Little monkeys have lots of chances to blow off steam with plenty of free indoor and outdoor play areas and activities included in your ticket price.  Peddle across Swan Lake on a swan boat, take the Great Woburn Railway through the deer paddocks and let the kids burn off some energy in the enormous indoor soft play area, the Mammoth Play Ark.
