Superman, Spider-Man, Batman and other comic favourites will descend on Ipswich later this year, deploying their powers to help a children’s charity.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is bringing a 5k fun run with a difference to Trinity Park on Saturday, 8 September.

As well as encouraging participants to dress up as their favourite superhero, EACH has also organised for 10 inflatable obstacles to be dotted around the course.

Natasha Brame, EACH Suffolk Community Fundraiser, said: “Can you be a superhero this year and raise funds for your local children’s hospice? We’re so excited for this event, that will see Trinity Park abuzz with activity. You’re welcome to run, jog or walk the course, meaning you can really enjoy the fun obstacles we have for you to negotiate!

“All money raised will help us continue caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia, and supporting their families.”

Runners will go off in four waves at 10am, 11am 12pm and 1pm.
