Spring family fun from just a fiver!
Fun for kids continues at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch with plenty of exciting shows and activities in the coming weeks – all from just a fiver!
A range of Story Play sessions will be taking place in the Queen’s Theatre’s Foyer, starting with Puss in Boots on Saturday 21 January at 10am for ages 5 – 7, followed by Aladdin on 18 February. Led by a professional storyteller, these brilliant interactive sessions bring popular stories to life, encouraging imagination and creativity through structured play, while exploring the themes and characters in each story. Tickets are just £5 for children and no adult ticket is required.
Families will not want to miss Magic Frostie’s Very Magic, Magic Show either on Saturday 21 January at 11.30am. Co-starring Hercules, the world’s only magic squirrel and Ziggy, the universe’s naughtiest alien, this jam-packed family show is suitable for children 5 and over.
Children aged 2-8 will be able to see Papalarney the Magic Man, as seen on Channel 4, on 4 February create mind-blowing balloon models and perform his hilarious magic show. Littles ones will go home with a balloon creation and a big beaming smile.
The Queen’s Theatre’s award-winning Baby Sensory classes continue at the theatre on Tuesday mornings with sessions at 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm. Filled with lights and music, these development classes are designed for babies from birth to 13 months. Tickets are £6 for each child and booking is required in advanced. There is even more fun on the cards for children aged 5–7, as they’ll be able to get creative in the Queen’s Theatre’s new hands-on craft workshops. Starting the season off is Picture Perfect Fairy Tales on 4 February followed by Match Box Magic on 4 March. Tickets are £5, no adult ticket is required and all workshops start at 10am.
