Shakespeare Schools Festival

See Shakespeare performed as you’ve never seen it before, through a series of unique performances by children from across Bedfordshire, at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 November at 7pm!

Shakespeare Schools Festival is a wonderful way to experience the language, magic and possibilities of truly inspiring plays, as well as celebrating the future of Shakespeare with your local schools.

Students from Ashcroft High School, The Chiltern School, Sacred Heart RC Primary School, Lea Manor High School, Denbigh Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Knebworth Primary and Nursery School and Farley Junior School, will be performing scenes from classic Shakespeare titles including Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest, to name a few.

At the end of September pupils from the schools visited the theatre for cast workshops, hosted by two Shakespeare Schools Festival facilitators. The workshops were a great success which can only hold promise for some spectacular Shakespeare in November!

All are welcome to these inspiring evenings of theatre, whether you are a parent, friend, another local school or a fan of Shakespeare. For adults and children alike, an evening at Shakespeare Schools Festival will create a night to be treasured and remembered. Tickets can be purchased for £9, with concession and group discount available. For more information or to book, call the Box Office on 01582 60 20 80 or visit the website at www.grovetheatre.co.uk.
