Champagne flutes were filled and gin glasses held high to toast the horses and riders at Newmarket races first gin and fizz festival. The racing at the July course was played out to the sound of the crowds urging on their chosen horses. Between the races was an opportunity to sample artisan gins and all things Prosecco in the quintessential roof top bar.

Other spectators sat in the afternoon sunshine beside the classic bus bar or vintage gin hut to soak up the atmosphere. The children enjoyed choosing their horses and riders and watching them race towards the finish post. Afterwards they caught a glimpse of the horses cool down with a swish of water in the winners enclosure. The celebrations at the July course represents the very best of what the great British summer has to offer, and another chance for all the family to enjoy the racing spectacle at the home of British horse racing.
