Review of – Jess Glynne

We arrived at the July Racecourse with feelings of anticipation and excitement as we approached the turnstiles for a day at Newmarket races. We were met by the bustle of the race goers, ladies in their finery and gents looking dapper in their suits. Race cards bought, we checked the form and visited the parade ring to cast our eyes over the horses and jockeys. The parade ring bell sounds and the horse gallop towards the start, and then they
are off!
We hear the sound of hooves on the ground and the crowd rising to their feet with cheers of encouragement.

As the racing concluded the night’s entertainment began. Jess Glynne beamed from the stage with her mix of R&B, Pop and Soul.

Jess Glynne shot to fame as a feature artist for Clean Bandit and has five number one singles including collaborations with Tiny Tempah and Route 9.

Jess shone from the stage with her signature hooped ears and shimmering trousers. The backing singers swayed and the saxophone and trumpets played as the Race goers (myself included) bopped the night away.

As Jess Gynne’s vocals receded into the warm summer night we headed home with happy memories of a summer bank holiday weekend spent at Newmarket Races.
