The Bury St Edmunds launch party for new charity vinyl compilation ‘This Is The Sound Of Sugar Town Volume 2’ took place on Saturday (1st July), featuring twelve live bands and five guest DJs throughout the day.  The daytime show at Vinyl Hunter Record Store, with live sets from JACK RUNDELL, THE CATCH, DAVID JAGO’S MOUSE-DRAWN CART, BLUE MEAN EYES, THE VIRTUES and BurySOUND 2017 winners TUNDRA, saw scores of people flocking to be the first to own a copy, while all 120 tickets for the evening show at The Hunter Club, featuring CATHEDRALS & CARS, SUBURBAN MINDS, GAFFA TAPE SANDY, BRACKEN, SUN SCREAM and SIAH, sold out on the door.  From gig profits and donations we raised £660 for local mental health charity Julian Support, although we hope to raise much more over the coming months from sales of the record!

This Is The Sound Of Sugar Town’ is released online and in shops this Friday, 7th July via legendary Cambridge-based indie R*E*P*E*A*T Records.  There’s a public streaming/mail order link for the album here:
