Vienna Festival Ballet is proud to present the classic tale of Cinderella, one of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time. Its timeless narrative resonates through the ages in many forms, such as film or stage adaptation, but never so beautifully as through dance, which is brought to the Grove Theatre, Dunstable on Sunday 30 April at 5pm.
A mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince combine to make the perfect piece of story-telling. Based on the traditional story, Vienna Festival Ballet’s Cinderella will surely touch and reach out to everyone’s heart, with its combination of pure classical dancing and a touch of pantomime.
Vienna Festival Ballet was founded in 1980 by Austrian dancer Peter Mallek, who was born in Vienna and began his illustrious career at the age of 14 when he joined the Vienna State Opera. Vienna Festival Ballet is a dynamic company of talented international dancers from all corners of the globe, which tours for eight months of the year, presenting approximately 200 performances mainly in the UK.
With breathtaking grace and a specially commissioned score arranged solely for Vienna Festival Ballet, Cinderella will transport you to an enchanting world of fairy tale, in a mesmerising and unforgettable ballet. Tickets can be purchased at £24 for adults, £18 for children and there is discount available on standard tickets for concessions.
