Jazz legend Frank Holder comes to Hornchurch
The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch is inviting audiences to enjoy a soothing afternoon of soulful jazz with the fabulous entertainer Frank Holder and his Band on Friday 24 March.
The energetic jazz percussionist and vocalist Frank Holder is one of the very few musicians still alive to have played on the London Jazz scene in the 1940s. His vocals and conga rhythms are as fresh today as when he played with the bands of Leslie ‘Jiver’ Hutchinson, John Dankworth and Ronnie Scott. In 2015, Frank was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Worshipful Company of Musicians in the City of London.
Performing a mixture of jazz tunes, popular classics, swing and easy listening melodies, an afternoon in Frank Holder’s company is a must for any jazz lover.
Frank Holder and his Band will perform in the Queen’s Theatre’s foyer at 2.30pm on Friday 24 March. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased by calling the Box Office on 01708 443333 or online at queens-theatre.co.uk
