NEW DAY TICKET PROVES A WINNER WITH THE PUBLIC

The National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art in Newmarket has re-vamped its ticket offering following customer feedback

After a very successful summer period at the National Heritage Centre when a special £12 day ticket was trialled, day tickets will be introduced as a permanent addition going forward. These day tickets entitle visitors to come and enjoy what is on offer across the whole five-acre site for one day and are available on our website with a £1 discount.

There will also be the introduction of a special exhibition ticket, allowing visitors to view just our special exhibitions (currently ‘Painting Winners, The Art of Sir Alfred Munnings’ and ‘On Your Bike, The Art of Cycling’. The annual tickets, which have proved to be very popular, will still be available to purchase with a number of additional benefits going into 2018. These tickets allow visitors to come back to the permanent galleries and to visit the live horses for free for 12 months from the date of purchase. If visitors buy a day ticket and change their minds, they can upgrade to the annual pass simply by paying the difference between the two ticket prices on the day of purchase.

Chris Garibaldi, National Heritage Centre Director said:

We have been listening to feedback from our visitors and trialling a Day Ticket over the summer months which has proved extremely popular. Based on this success we are rolling it out as a permanent re-structuring of our ticket prices. Visitors will be able to buy a £12 Day Ticket for the whole site, an £8 ticket just for the special exhibition galleries, and we are increasing the cost of an annual pass to £20 for full adult admission. Feedback from visitors is that there is so much to see on site, across what is essentially three visitor attractions in one – an art gallery, a national horseracing museum and a live horse experience that it represents extremely good value for money. Our family tickets are particularly good value allowing entry for two adults and up to four children for just £35 and for just ten pounds more this can be valid for a whole year. There are masses of exhibits to interest visitors of all ages”.
