Lincolnshire Young Designer of the Year 2017 at The National Centre for Craft & Design
Entries have poured into The National Centre for Craft & Design with their annual competition to celebrate the young creative talent within Lincolnshire. The competition is in its third year and was founded by the NCCD and St George’s Academy’s DT teacher Rebecca Topps who has been awarded an Outstanding Teacher Design and Technology Award by the Design and Technology Association (DATA).
The competition gives students the opportunity to exhibit their design work in NCCD’s Roof Gallery and the chance to win the coveted title of Lincolnshire Young Designer of the Year 2017, as well as special awards and prizes. Again this year’s competition is being generously sponsored by Cathodic Protection Co Ltd (CPCL) and
Slam Design who are supporting our region’s Young Designers by offering work experience in the Design industry.
An independent judging panel will nominate an overall winner and a further four awards for innovation, artistic excellence, exceptional research & development and most inspirational concept. A celebratory opening night will announce the winners on Fri 30 Jun 4:30 6:30 pm at NCCD. The Young Designers 2017 exhibition is open to the public between the 1-2 Jul.
