‘Black History Month’ across Reading, Berkshire

Throughout October 2019

A FREE vibrant, month-long celebration of black heritage and culture with stimulating live performances throughout the town arranged by multiple organisations and voluntary, collaborative groups.

Last year, this involved a diverse programme complete with community-driven celebrations, a host of workshops, theatre, poetry, the likes of Motown and stunning West African music, dance, exhibitions, film, and Anti-Slavery Awareness Day talks coordinated by cultural societies. This year, we can look forward to a gripping programme that will even cut above last year’s striking assortment of events.
