Review By Henry Giles
With an earlier start time for this finale of the Newmarket Nights racing season there was a bank holiday party spirit and an undeniable number of younger fans present to see Little Mix belt out their popular songs across the Adnams July racecourse.
Sassy, athletic and supported by a group of male dancers, Little Mix produced a great sound culminating in their hit Black Magic and teenyboppers across the course were ‘on fire’. Giant balloons and paper streamers only added to the excitement.
What was notable about the day as a whole was that everyone, young and old, had made an effort, not least in the style and fashion stakes, and the sell out attendance was counted in and out well by a racecourse staff running like a well-oiled machine.
With racing including the excitement of a dead heat in one of the last races it was a brilliant end to the season.
