Huntingdon Racecourse offers a unique and intimate experience. Staging 18 race meetings each season including the Grade 2 Peterborough Chase Day, Huntingdon Racecourse is at the heart of the national hunt calendar.

The Cambridgeshire venue is regularly chosen as ‘Best Small Racecourse’ in the South Midlands and East Anglia and is much loved by followers of jump racing.

‘Location, location, location’ is a strong point, set conveniently near the convergence of the A1 and A14 and only a short distance from the ‘Home of Racing’ at Newmarket. The racecourse, excellently signposted, cannot be easier to find and reach.

There are racing fixtures on 18 days of the year, with the highlight being the prestigious Peterborough Chase, run a fortnight before Christmas, a contest with history and heritage having attracted some of the greats like Desert Orchid, One Man, Edredon Bleu and Best Mate over the years.

The most popular day of the year is usually the traditional Boxing Day meeting when the crowds arrive in their thousands for a festive day out at the races.

Spectators find excellent facilities, from refreshments to viewing. The Peterborough Chase Restaurant is much sought after for fine dining, while on the biggest racing day’s visitors can enjoy their own picnics. There’s a Champagne & Seafood Bar too, along with Lentons Bar and the Hurdles Bistro.

“Huntingdon Racecourse is a fantastic local track with breathtaking views and a true passion for nation hunt racing” Bill Hensley
