On Saturday 16th June at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds, we’re hosting a fundraiser for Riverwalk School with a phenomenal line-up starring surf-grunge-pop superstars TUNDRA, rabble-rousing Victorian murder punk legends THY LAST DROP, BurySOUND-conquering psychedelic heroes KYANOS, high-octane stadium folk punkers PET NEEDS, melodic metal maestros MANIC BLACKOUT and a rare outing by MOUSE-DRAWN CART, the solo project of bona fide unsung musical genius Dave Jago.
Riverwalk School caters for pupils aged 3-19 who have severe, profound and complex learning needs. All profits from this event will go towards a Rebound Therapy programme at the school’s new location (on the site of the old Hardwick Middle School), which is due to open in September 2018. The night will be held in memory of Riverwalk School teacher James Brooke, who lost his life last month following a tragic skydiving accident; James had been working alongside Washing Machine to co-ordinate this event with other fundraising activities.
Rebound Therapy is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, increase or decrease muscle tone, enable relaxation, assist sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance, and to improve communication skills.
