Brighton is a must-visit city for most people. Sitting by the sea with its famous pebble beach, it appeals as much to those looking for a seaside delight as those looking for excellent shops and fascinating sights.
For a start there’s the famous oriental Royal Pavilion, Regency architecture, and a Victorian aquarium. Add to that the Brighton Wheel, beachfront sports and events, and the remarkable Lanes – a paradise of boutique shops around a maze of alleyways – and you have something for everyone to enjoy.
Chichester is built around a magnificent 12th Century Cathedral, with contrasting architectures, museums, art galleries, historic houses and the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre.
Chichester lies between the South Downs and Chichester Harbour, with other nature reserves, stunning beaches and dramatic coastline to the south. With a spectacular variety of places to discover it’s an ideal place for a visit, any time of year.
Hastings is an acclaimed coastal town with a long history of smuggling and conspiracy. There are plenty of seaside attractions and a long beach, but it also has an Old Town steeped in history, with black beamed houses overhanging the streets. It also has the largest beach-launched fishing fleet, flanked by their distinctive black huts (called Net Shops). There’s also Britain’s steepest funicular railway to explore, and the remains of William the Conqueror’s first English castle, making it a great day out for all the family.
A Curious About walk is a fun & social activity for all the family & friends – where everyone can be actively involved, helping with directions, matching pictures, reading fascinating facts and finding answers to clues. Each walk takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete, and is suitable for everyone (from age 6 upwards). Every booklet contains 2 walks, and each walk takes 1-2 hours to complete.
