Event Description

Woburn Abbey Garden Show is back for 2020 with a glittering line-up of gardening royalty

Celebrating the intrinsic relationship between humans and horticulture, the theme for this year’s Woburn Abbey Garden Show is The Plant Connection.  Taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2020 in Woburn Abbey’s beautifully landscaped gardens, the show now in its 11th year promises to be the highlight of the horticulturalists’ calendar.

Known as the ‘Gardeners’ Garden Show’ the event brings together some of the best-known and loved experts including BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Adam Frost, BBC Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time expert, Pippa Greenwood, international florist Jonathan Moseley and renowned UK garden designer James Alexander-Sinclair. New to this year’s line-up is 14-year old RHS Ambassador George Hassall and Jim Buttress, former Royal Gardener, renowned horticulturalist, and winner of numerous Gold Medals at Chelsea Flower Show.

Visitors will have unparalleled access to award-winning exhibitors and nurseries complemented by an array of live entertainment, artisan foods, shopping, demonstrations, informative talks and gardening advice, tips and garden tours.

Pippa Greenwood says: “Quite simply THE best gardening show I know, with tours around the gardens, demos and talks, a Q&A and the most fantastic selection of nursery stands, garden tools, memorabilia and furniture (in fact everything you might want for your garden). Live music from the Bedford Town Band and all set in the most glorious setting imaginable, The Woburn Abbey Gardens. Perfection.”

Other show highlights include exploring the 28 acres of Woburn Abbey Gardens and rare access to the 14 acres of The Duke and Duchess of Bedford’s Private Gardens, complimentary guided tours, a live band, The Hop Garden with local craft beer, The Pimm’s Garden, Street Food Catering Court and much more.

Adam Frost says: “I’m looking forward to being back at Woburn Abbey Garden Show in 2020 for a fourth year running. It’s a super show that really does put gardening right at its heart – organised by gardeners for all garden-lovers. There is always a fantastic selection of top quality nurseries and specialist growers exhibiting at the show. One of the best parts of my day is when I get to share my favourite plants that I’ve seen on the stands in my afternoon talk.”
