Event Description

Warlingham is our original venue and it’s still one of the best, all year round! Its various woodlands, commons, verges and hedgerows provide almost everything we look for at any time of the year, including one of the widest selections of fungi we find anywhere.
The course starts at The Harrow with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the Countryside Act.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the area, teaching you how to identify the different plants and mushrooms that we find.
We’ll stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup.
Afterwards we will head back to the Harrow for a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found and some pre-prepared homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Please see website for full details of times and further course dates available at this venue.
