The Feelgood Band – Friday 21st June – The New Crawdaddy Blues Club – Holiday Inn, Festival Leisure Park, Basildon. Essex. SS14 3DG.
With support from resident band The Heaters.
A welcome return visit from this band after their storming debut last season. These guys have been causing a real stir on the circuit with their raw energy and very authentic take on the early Dr. Feelgood years. They are becoming one of the most sort after acts on the circuit, in particular in the South East where Dr. Feelgood honed their raunchy brand of R&B, and have glowing endorsements from some of the original Feelgood line up as a sign of their approval of how well they recreate the numbers and the feel that made the band famous. “They bought a tear to my eye. 100% spot on stage presence and performance” .“ Man, it was great, it’s just what it would have been like to see Dr. Feelgood in the club days”—Wilko Johnson. “The closest thing I have seen to the originals “ – John Sparks (Sparko). “Go and judge for yourself, it’s worth it. The band clearly enjoy themselves; their enthusiasm and passion for Dr. Feelgood oozes out of every chopp chord and riff. They do it right!!
