Roman Mosaic Workshop
Spend a relaxing creative day making your own Roman mosaic. Guided by our exceptionally talented, artist and tutor Sarah Camplin, she will take you through the process step by step, teaching you the ‘rules’ that the Romans employed in their ancient designs.
You will have 6 designs templates to choose from, all based on Roman mosaics from across the world. By the end of your session you will have completed your board and know how to apply the grout at home once your mosaic pieces have dried. The final size of your mosaic will be A4 size.

About your tutor Sarah Camplin
Sarah is an experienced mosaic artist, and is passionate about the creative arts. Mosaics is an artform that she has been working with since she went to her first mosaics workshop at Rufford Abbey, in Nottinghamshire over 10 years ago. Sarah has been running her own mosaics workshops and been involved in community projects since November 2017, and had her first commission to create a company logo in December 2018.
Her work is heavily influenced by Gaudi, and neo-classicism, as well as the natural world, and she particularly likes to use mirrors to reflect the light, creating more depth and movement. Sarah is available to take commissions and is happy to get involved in more community projects; and values the positive impact the creative arts can have on reducing social isolation, and in increasing confidence and general well-being. Overall, Sarah is a fun maker and creative, with a relaxed approach.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
