Event Description

The 2020 Glyndebourne Festival takes place between 21 May and 30 August 2020.

Each summer, from May to August, the Glyndebourne Festival presents a season of world-class opera during which audiences can enjoy performances in a state-of-the-art indoor auditorium. This year’s line-up offers a Festival of contrasts – hilarious, tragic, political, mythic – with operas by Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Donizetti, Poulenc and Handel.

The Festival has a tradition of formal dress, and audience members relish the opportunity to dress up for a day. A key part of the Glyndebourne Festival experience is the 90-minute interval – a chance to enjoy a picnic in the gardens or dine at one of three on-site restaurants. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic, or order one to pick up when you arrive.
