Event Description


Glass Jewellery Making Workshop

Sunday 10th May | 10am until 1pm

Come and join us at this lovely creative workshop and make your own piece of hand-made glass jewellery. Spend your morning relaxing and enjoy trying something new.

The workshop will introduce you to a wide variety of accessory glass to make your own necklaces, earrings or cufflinks, perfect to complement your favourite outfit. Our tutor Katherine Wilson will guide you through the process step by step, giving you the opportunity to get hands-on with your glass creation.

Perfect for beginners or people with experience.

Outline of your afternoon

9.55am     Arrival with refreshments

10.00am     Welcome and meet your tutor Katherine.

Introduction to materials and glass.

Learn how to handle and cut glass.

Selection of base colours and decorative elements

11am     Refreshments

Cutting of glass and construct your pieces

1pm      Finish and depart

You will make a total of 3 pieces using 2 different ‘hanging techniques’ choose from 2 pendants and a pair of earrings, a ring or cufflinks, different colours of glass available.

Your unique piece will then be taken away by Katherine to be fired and ready for pick up or be posted to you (a small charge for postage) in 1 week’s time.

Please note – all materials and refreshments including a snack are provided. Nothing to remember to bring, just yourself, it couldn’t be easier! So book now.

 

About Katherine Wilson

A self employed designer and maker of traditional stained glass and contemporary glass pieces. Katherine prides herself on creating pieces that show the clarity and colour of glass, using simple shapes and bold colour combinations. Her focus is on creating functional pieces, which can be worn everyday or used in the home.

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 6.

Suitable for children aged 16 years and over must be accompanied by a paying adult.
