Event Description

The mixed woodland of the NNR is the perfect habitat for a huge number of different fungi species. Autumn heralds the appearance of fungi great and small; from edible Porcini to the Scarlet Waxy Cap, to the rare Tiny Earthstar. On this 2-hour guided walk, we will look at identifying the good, the bad and the ugly of the fungi world, finishing up with coffee and cake back at The Lookout.
