Extra Festive Cheer! — Carol singing in the Fakenham Market

As well as preparing for their festive Christmas concert, members of Fakenham Choral Society are also planning to bring an extra touch of Christmas cheer to Fakenham town centre by singing carols at the Thursday Market on the 8^th and 15^th December at around 10.30/11am.

Members will also be adding live carol singing to the wonderful Christmas ambience, glitter and lights of Fakenham Christmas Tree Festival on the mornings of Saturday 3^rd and Thursday 8^th December. The carols will all be familiar, traditional carols and visitors will be welcome to join in.

As well as carol singing in the centre of town, small groups of FCS members have been invited to some of the care homes in Fakenham to sing carols for and with the residents who are often not able to get out and enjoy the festive season.

Any money raised at the market day carol singing sessions will go to help finance the Fakenham Choral Society Christmas Concert which is on Saturday 17^th December in Fakenham Parish Church starting at 5.30pm. The concert features a variety of Christmas music from the choir as well as audience participation in some traditional carols, with mince pies and refreshments available in the interval.
