Event Description

Find out the fascinating history of the theatre.

Take in the backstage areas, step on to our historic stage and visit the fly tower to see the view from the above.

Join a 90 minute backstage tour that takes in all levels of the theatre – from the stage, 400-seat auditorium and dressing rooms to climbing the fly tower used to hang lighting, scenery and stage effects during a show. Experience a whole new perspective of the stage, rarely seen by theatre-goers.

Learn about the building’s history – once a hotel, then a cinema – and the infamous ghosts.

This tour involves steps but can be adapted for people with mobility issues. Please inform the Box Office when booking tickets so arrangements can be made.
