Event Description

A special choral workshop celebrating Jewish musical culture, in particular that of East European Jews, marking the 75^th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. A wide range of material, sacred and secular, traditional and new will be explored in Hebrew and Yiddish, but no knowledge of the languages is necessary. Enjoy singing in a warm-hearted atmosphere under the guidance of one of the world’s most charismatic and inspiring Jewish choir directors. All singers are welcome, although you will need to be able to follow the written music and be prepared to learn by ear. Singers will also be expected to take part in the evening concert on the same day.
