The Art of Growing Grapes for Wine 

Sunday 16th February  |10am to 1pm

If you’re a wine lover and want to try your hand at growing grapes for wine making, this workshop could be the perfect way to start. Join us for a step-by-step introduction to grape growing for wine making.

Presented by vineyard owner Helenka Brown, this workshop will cover vine selection, good site choice, planting, early years vine care and a wine tasting of single varietal wines to help you choose what type of wine you’d like to make.

Outline of the morning:

10am – Welcome with refreshments and meet tutor Helenka Brown

  • Getting started: where and when to plant
  • Early years vine care, practical examples
  • The end result: grape selection and wine tasting
  • Personal planning and wrap up

1.00pm  Departure

Refreshments will be provided throughout the morning. We suggest you bring outdoor boots and warm clothes, so we can go out into the vineyard for some practical examples. Perfect for complete novices and is a great introduction to how to growing grapes to make your own wine.

The venue will be our fantastic new Rural Antics barn space, which opened in early 2018 – with lovely countryside views, it’s a delightful location perfect for this grape growing workshop.

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
