We’re thrilled to welcome Angela Barnes as our headliner on June 19th for our night of Custard Comedy at Eddington.
Angela is a star of TV, stage and radio. Following brilliant performances on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, The News Quiz and The Now Show, she’s firmly established as one of Britain’s favourite comedians. “Brilliantly funny,” Sarah Millican. “She’s just a gloriously down-to-earth, straight talking and extremely funny comic,” The Guardian. “Angela Barnes is the best mainstream female comedian I’ve seen since Sarah Millican… I can’t be any clearer than that can I?”. There’s also a full supporting line up, including Jane Hill. Jane has been doing stand-up comedy since 2005, performing all around the country. She reached the final of English Comedian of the Year in 2009. “The audience enjoyed her so much they almost forgot to drink their pints!” One4Review.
Our MC is Rob Coleman, who has made what he laughingly calls a career out of being grumpy. And amazing hair. “Very strong and extremely funny …a naturally funny man.” Bedfordshire News.
NB … This is an outdoor gig and we’ll be going ahead come rain or shine. Please dress accordingly and bring chairs or blankets to sit on! The gig comes with strict social distancing guidelines. These will be sent out a few days beforehand.
