Event Description

This month’s meeting of the Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society will include a talk and demonstration by ceramicist Katherine Kingdon, who is based in the Newbury area.

Katherine uses clay to make figurative sculptures and illustrative vessels, and is always looking for meaning in the random and irrelevant. In her current work she is having fun exploring character through pose, facial expressions and sometimes text. She enjoys the suggestions of stories that develop and the dynamics within a group of figures.

The meeting will be held at Little Kingshill Village Hall, Windsor Lane, Little Kingshill, HP16 0DZ. Entry is free for BPSS members, £5 for visitors. There will be a short gathering during the tea/coffee break to discuss this year’s AGM.
