A DAY OUT IN THE WELLAND VALLEY – Come along to the Harringworth Summer Fete on Saturday 29 June 2019 from 11.00 – 2.00pm set in the beautiful grounds of Church Cottage and the adjacent Meadow (off Seaton Road, NN17 3AF) with great views of the Welland Viaduct.
You can see the Flying Scotsman in the Welland Valley as it steams over the viaduct at 10.00 with plenty of free parking in the village – which has great vantage points to view the Steam Engine a short walk away. Refreshments available, too!
The great news it that you can stay parked up for the day with so many activities to enjoy once the train has visited. This includes an exhibition in Harringworth’s St John the Baptist Church; Pony Rides at the Fete by Harringworth Manor Stables, and Harringworth Family & Elite Bike Rides starting at spokes cafe and ending at the Summer Fete. With delicious refreshment including a BBQ, Cakes, Ice Cream, Hot Drinks and Pimms – you can stay for lunch too! Enter the golf game and browse the various stalls including Bric a Brac, Tombola, Plants, Made in Harringworth Produce and several local artisans including Rise of a Sourdough Empire – Bisbrooke Artisans.
