Event Description

Come and celebrate the wonder of opera in the company of Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Bizet, Puccini, Offenbach, Gilbert & Sullivan and more, in a musical Christmas feast of some of the greatest opera ever composed.  Superb singing, elegant period costumes and an attractive set combine to make this a performance not to be missed for all opera lovers and newcomers alike.  An ideal first visit to the opera!

The artists appear in sumptuous Victorian evening dress, recreating the grandeur and glamour of past times.

LFO has a considerable international reputation and features distinguished singers from the Royal Opera, English National Opera and Glyndebourne with outstanding young artists.  The company has performed throughout the UK, across Europe, and as far afield as India, Hong Kong and Barbados.  Recent appearances have been in one of the world’s greatest opera house, La Fenice in Venice.
