Days Out in Berkshire

Here are some of our best days out in Berkshire. Reading Museum is a must, showcasing its journey through time from the Saxon era right up to today, everything from art to archaeology everyone is covered. Close by in Bracknell take the fun into the forest and visit Go Ape. Keep on climbing at Reading Climbing Centre, or head over to Coral Reef in Bracknell where you can find one of the largest water worlds in England. You can choose to get active in the water or relax at the coral spa (adults only).

Days Out in Buckinghamshire

Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire is packed with culture and lots of local history and is the perfect day out, and the home of The Roald Dahl Children’s Museum which has won two science awards for being the best stimulating educational experience for children. Bucks Goat Centre has many animals for you to meet and is great. Local go-karting track Rouge Racing Centre.

One of the UK’s 1960 ‘new towns’, Milton Keynes is packed full of contemporary days out, including Snozone, where you can try skiing, snowboarding and sledging. Little ones will have a ball in the SnoPlay sessions, rolling around in the snow and making snow angels. More active fun can be had at The SFEAR, where kids over 1.2 metres tall can take on 15 different climbing challenges inside a giant dome, including scramble nets, tightropes and zig zag bridges.

During the summer months Willen Lake and Park provides a great day out. For younger children, you can’t miss a trip to Gulliver’s Land, perfect for adventurers between 2 and 13 years-old.

Airkix Indoor Skydiving and RaceWars also offer superb days out.

Days Out in Sussex

Sussex is extremely popular County which attracts many visitors throughout the year. Brighton seafront towards the Marina you’ll find SEA LIFE Brighton, a large aquarium and the perfect place for a rainy day. Hastings is renowned for the famous battle in 1066, and Hasting Museum and Art Gallery or Hastings Castle make a great day out.

You could also check out Smugglers Adventure or the underwater fun at the Blue Reef Aquarium.

A visit to West Sussex wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. The museum has many historical aircraft and flight simulators which all make for an exciting fun day out,

Goodwood Racecourse is one of the world’s most beautiful racecourses and hosts many events throughout the year which usually cater for everyone. Tinwood Estate Vineyard is well known for their English sparkling wines with tours and tastings. Days Out in Hampshire

Hampshire boasts lots of fantastic days out starting with the Portsmouth City Museum, the Historic Dockyard, and Blue Reef Aquarium.

Southampton also has lots of attractions including the SeaCity Museum, Solent Sky Museum, a Go Ape tree top adventure as well as a climbing centre.

Gosport is home to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum where you can board a real submarine!

Days Out in Kent

Kent has many attractions. the historic English cathedral city of Canterbury is a perfect for day out for the whole family www.canterbury-cathedral.org.

If you love animals, Howletts Wildlife Park is home to over 390 animals across 90-acres of parkland. Canterbury Punting Company offers an exciting way to see the city in hand-built punts down the historic river Stour, giving you a guided tour through the heart of Canterbury.

Days Out in Oxfordshire

Oxfordshire also has the oldest botanical gardens in the UK with thousands of different plants and flowers to admire.

Banbury has a museum which is perfect for getting to know more about the Towns history as well as Broughton Castle, full of Oxfordshire’s heritage.

Days Out in Surrey

Surrey is a beautiful county in the south east of the UK which has many natural beauty spots and a nature reserve.

Hobbledown Adventure is an adventure park full of animals and characters from the book for all of the family to enjoy. Bocketts Farm is a family favourite with lots of fun activities for the kids, meet and greet animal areas, hop on tractor rides, interactive feeding sessions and pig races throughout the day.
