Ely Folk Festival
Ely Folk Festival is the local festival with a big heart as it hosts some of the best folk and roots music acts around in a family friendly environment on the edge of the wonderful cathedral city of Ely. Ely Folk Festival 2017 will take place 7-9 July.
Festival headliners include the fantastic British folk musician Seth Lakeman and his band, and The Spooky Men’s Chorale, who are a bunch of gloriously bonkers and fabulously harmonious Australian blokes who sing about man matters such as sheds and concrete. The 2017 festival line-up is wonderfully varied and also includes the precociously talented Sam Kelly Trio; blues and Americana aficionado Brooks Williams; legendary guitarist Hans Theessink; Anglo-French band Topette!!; Reg Meuross; Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage; the Jennifer Crook Trio; and lots more great music.
In addition to concerts & ceilidhs, the festival site is a hive of activity over the weekend with fabulous kids activities, performance workshops and ceilidhs, music sessions, a real ale bar, craft and food stalls. Morris sides perform on the festival site and around Ely over the festival weekend including a colourful Saturday morning morris procession. Camping facilities are available on the festival site, and a free shuttle bus service makes it easy to get into Ely city centre. Well behaved dogs are welcome too!
Ely Folk Festival tickets are great value for money with adult weekend tickets purchased before 1st June starting at £72. Tickets for each day can also be purchased. Reduced price tickets for concessions and young people are available. Kids under the age of 12 get free entry.
