Banham Zoo
There’s so much to see and do this 50th birthday year at Banham Zoo! See tigers, sloths, giraffe and monkeys as well as some of our newest arrivals – our rare Sri Lankan Leopard cubs! Our birthday celebrations start with the official opening of our brand new California Sea Lion enclosure.
Check out our amazing subtropical house ‘Eureka!’, where free-flying birds and butterflies can be seen amongst the luscious planting – and make sure you spot our fascinating pair of two-toed sloths. See beautiful big cats such as Amur tigers, snow leopards, cheetahs and our beautiful but rare Sri Lankan leopards and their cubs. Spot a huge range of primates including lemurs, monkeys and siamangs as well as our feathered friends such as flamingos, owls, parrots and ibis. ‘Penguin Cove’ also offers our guests the chance to see some of Africa’s coastal birds up close – including our colony of black-footed penguins who breed regularly here at Banham Zoo.
As part of our 50th birthday celebrations, there will be many new and exciting events taking place throughout the year, so check out our website or follow Banham Zoo’s social media to ensure you don’t miss out!
