Amazona Zoo

Amazona Zoo in Cromer is a unique and fun day out for the whole family. It’s home to over 200 animals from tropical South America, including jaguars, monkeys, peccaries, otters, owls, macaws, parrots, capuchins, spiders, snakes, flamingos, rheas, guinea pigs, iguanas, caimans, pumas and tapirs.
Families love exploring the Amazona in Cromer, set in secluded grounds on the north Norfolk coast. Look out for our new wood carvings; an impressive tortoise and our puma-shaped bench – both beautiful works of art.

As well as a fascinating collection of animals and birds we’ve got an expansive outdoor play area Rainforest Springs with two large jumping pillows and a large, well-equipped indoor play area, Jungle Tumbles.

We have launched a new Leafcutter Ant Exhibit where you can see thousands of ants at work. See animals being fed, learn about the history of South America, get up close and personal with reptiles in the Tropical House, meet the birds of prey or grab a bite to eat at the Jungle Cafe. Brave explorers can visit the feline forest with jaguar, ocelot and pumas. Chatter with the parrots and marvel at the monkey antics!

Look out for our marvellous ‘back to basics’ camping site www.cromercamping.com (the only one in the centre of Cromer) coming for one month in August only next year. We will also be working with Cromer PYO nearby!
