A Day Out at Birdworld

0

Birdworld is one of England’s largest bird parks. Just two miles from Farnham, Birdworld nestles on the edge of the ancient Alice Holt Forest and is home to over 1000 birds from 180 different species. Set in 26-acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, the birds range from parrots, two colonies of penguins, hornbills and flamingos to owls, pelicans, ducks and emus, you will be amazed at the variety.

Popular exhibits include The Terry Pratchett Owl Parliament, Penguin Beach and the Silent Forest Songbird Aviaries. Alongside wonderful aviaries, the park also offers exciting opportunities to get up close and personal with some of the feathered residents with experiences such as Owl Encounters, Penguin Feeding, Keeper for a Day and Junior Farm Keeper.

In addition to birds, Birdworld is also home to the Jenny Wren Farm where visitors can enjoy meeting all manner of animals such as pigs, sheep, rabbits, mice and even reindeer!

Visitors can also enjoy a visit to Underwater World with its tropical fish, piranhas and dwarf crocodiles.
With well-stocked gift shops, restaurants and refreshment kiosks, all your needs are well catered for and for garden-lovers there is easy access to the Forest Lodge Garden Centre via a linking pathway.
